7 year old Liam King was last seen in Asheboro, North Carolina on September 7, 2025. King, who is nonverbal, was last seen in the area of Forest Hills Drive.
Disappearance
On September 7, 2025, Liam King was last seen in the area of Forest Hills Drive in Asheboro, North Carolina. He wandered away from home after being left unsupervised for a few minutes.
He was reported missing to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office at 11:00 am.
Liam left the area on foot and suffers from cognitive impairments; he is non-verbal and may run if approached. He does not live on Forest Hills Drive, but was visiting a family member.
At this time police say there is no reason to believe he was abducted, though he may be lost and confused.
Hundreds of officers from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina Adult Corrections, FBI, and local search and rescue teams have joined the search.
Since Liam is fascinated with water, authorities have been focusing their search efforts on bodies of water.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is using every resource available to find this little boy. That includes many law enforcement partners, state, local, and federal resources, and other first responders who have been searching on the ground and in the air since we first received the call that he was missing.
Body of Liam King Found
On the morning of September 9, 2025, the body of Liam King was found in a pond near the area where he was initially reported missing.
The investigation into his case remains active.
Appearance
Liam is approximately 3’5 tall and 55 pounds. He has shoulder length brown/black hair and brown eyes.
Clothing & Accessories:
Liam was last seen wearing a light blue, black, and grey Nike sweatshirt, gray Nike t-shirt, black sweatpants, blue Sonic socks, and tan color tennis shoes.
